From: in the land where we say hella.
Bought a "delphi" 4-wire oxygen sensor from ebay.
made a custom made obd0-obd1 conversion harness.
According to the manual, my universal oxygen sensor wires are:
SIGNAL-BLACK
GROUND-GREY
HEATER-PURPLE
HEATER-WHITE
I am confused if the heater wires can be switched because there is no number/order for them.
Searching on the web, i have found out that the wires for our obd1 honda are:
O2 Signal (D14)
O2 Ground (D22 or similar logic ground)
O2 Heater (A6)
O2 Power (A25 or switched +12v source)
now, looking at what i have, the universal oxygen sensor does NOT have a power wire.
Could some one please shed some light about how i should wire this up? well more like fix how i already wired it? its still showing a CEL for o2.
Also, the weird part is that the ECU NEVER looked for an o2. only after switching from a chipped P28 to a Virgin PR4 and then BACK to the P28, the P28 is NOW looking for an o2. reason how i know the P28 never looked for a o2 is because i never had one hooked up nor wired it.

Thanks, will try it out tomorrow and see what happens.
also, is it possible that because i had my OBD0 oxygen sensor still plugged in, is the reason why the CEL never came on? i mean its the only thing different i did when i switched out the ecu's.

I know this might be a week old I am experiencing the same problem so I'm up doing hw on this, I think your suppose to have the power plugged in to a20 or a26 not a25, Assuming from this http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/at...ss-obd1pin.jpg

i didnt "fix" the problem but when my obd0 1 wire oxygen sensor was plugged in, the P28 CEL did NOT come on for an o2. weird. i guess my P28 ecu is messed up some where because if i use my obd1 pr4 ecu, it looks for a 4 wire oxygen.
I had already prewired the 4wire but since the p28 did not look for a 4 wire, instead a 1wire, i was assuming my wiring was bad.
btw, nice picture diagram. would have been so helpful when i needed this.
