Precision exploed? What would cause this?
from the pics, it looks like the hit from the wall crushed the inlet pipe and maybe caused excessive heat because turbo was spooling but air was going nowhere. Just a theory..
From what it looks like ... Possible from the front end collision. Turbos where spinning at such high rpm , exhaust wheel probably broke right off.

how the hell did the turbo exploding make the driver turn another direction or the rear end slide out from under him?
I'm not saying the turbo didn't explode cause its happened but this is a little out there, a turbo exploding causing a wreck?

That is Ray Jr's car on yellowbullet. From reading about this and his posts. Those are promod 88's he bought in 2010 during the time there was some problem units, which Precision has since corrected. He was unaware of there being issues with that date range of production or of them being units with a recall on them.
Also from what I read Precision is taking care of him and upgrading him to all the newest stuff and s/s housings.
The problem units were on a group of promod 88 models from late 2010, not every Precision turbo. Again from what I read, they got some bad wheels that made it through balancing and such but where coming apart once they were in use seeing some heat cycling. Again, they have since correct this and look to be taking care of anyone who got some from that bad batch.
(In before the made in China claims start getting thrown around or the Precision haters file in to tell us how their turbo failed.)

Thats what he said on Yellow Bullet. When explode oil and debris went under the tires causing him to loose control of car.
Oil on the tire's? Shrapnel blowing a tire?
Happened to Tim Lynch in his new Vette too... I would still use their turbos, just because things happen so far I've had 3 PTE Billet turbo's and no issues. I'm going to be getting another one for a different project.
yes it did and it happened in the development stages of what is now known as the "7285" I have tested tons of combos with precision, some work and some dont but we keep pushing forward to further the development.
You think this statement is true? What do you have to stand behind this statment? I have tons of data but my data is bias, why not ask around and get an unbiased review.

I don't think there is a manufacturer our there that can honestly claim they haven't had failure. At 80+ Psi and 2 years of service those turbos have seen some serious abuse.
