Hey I'm getting ready to order a clutch lot for this type a tranny swap but am trying to not waste money if at all possible. So I drive an ep3 (2002) and am swapping in an 02-04 type s tranny soon. I know clutch stuff is pretty interchangeable. It seems like type s clutch kits from exedy (oem) are like 144$ all day yo' but oem ep3 are like 202$. I don't have an rsx flywheel and I have heard they are preferred because they are slightly larger. My question is will I be able to run a type s oem clutch kit on an eo3 flywheel and save 60$? Funny thing is on eBay there are used oem type s flywheels for about 80$ shipped, except I have no way of knowing condition because they are used and in this case pictures aren't worth 1000 words. I know 80$ isn't a big deal but money is very tight right now and wasn't really planning on resurfac
Cing my flywheel unless it was sketchy. Please a quick response would be great because I gotta order this soon so I can give old boy my ep tranny to complete the trade. Thanks a lot.

For a type s clutch you need the type s flywheel as well.

 

Thankyou spatula. What about the base rsx does that share flywheel's with the ep3?

 

I think they do, but not 100% sure.
