Default JDM one piece headlight wiring help.

searched here, pzone, ppower and ponline and didn't find adequate info. found helpful diagrams and write ups but still don't know where to start.

Got them super cheap and didn't even know they were jdm one piece till I did some research. It has plastic, 3 lines, "Stanley" on the front right inner corners with a 7 digit number following, H4+H1 bulbs. Sound right?

Anyways I have the headlights, bulbs, rubber grommets and the pin clips. But no wires came with it. So my question, which is broad: where do I go from here? I've done some wiring before and had success, but I want to make sure I do this right--because having working headlights is kind of important. PasswordJDM doesn't sell that harness anymore so I'm guessing I have to make my own?

Can't you just use your USDM headlight harnesses that are already in your car?

USDM plugs (except the corners) won't work though right? which is why you have to cut the USDM stuff off and wire it so that it works with the H4+H1.

are you thinking of just plugging the USDM stuff (slight hackjob) in the JDM headlight housing and be done with it? I considered that but it wont be as snug as when done properly.

I'm wondering what are they referring to when they say "H4 connectors"? I have the bulbs out of the headlights, the H4 has two prongs and the H1 has 3 prongs. Are those the connectors they're talking about or am I missing something here...sorry for n00bness.

My JDM 1 Piece headlight connectors use 9003/H4s. The 9006's that go in there won't sit right.

You need to get plugs for H4 x2 and H1 x2, and splice them in to replace the current plugs on your car. I think Auto value may have them, or partsource. I will dig around and see if I have any spares left, but I may have already sold them.

Need help. I'm now ready to do the wiring...but lost again because I dont know what wire is for what on the plugs I hastily cut off from cars in the junkyard. But I know black is the ground. Here's what im looking at...

LEFT JDM Headlight

H4:
Red/Yellow
Red/Green
Black

H1:
Red/Green
Black

RIGHT JDM Headlight

H4:
Red/White
Red/Blue
Black

H1:
Red/Blue
Black

Now for the stock USDM, taken from Freakin'H22A from SuperHonda. From what I understand, I connect both red/yellow wires together on the left USDM HL, and both red/green wires together on the right USDM HL. But once that is done, not sure what to do, or do I? lol...seems so simple but I really want to make sure/confirm before screwing something up.

Left Stock USDM Headlight:

1. Low Beam (Black) - GROUND
2.
Low Beam (Red/Yel) - POSITIVE CHARGE
High Beam (Red/Yel) - POSITIVE CHARGE

3. High Beam (Red/Blue) - GROUND TERMINAL (for combo switch)

Right Stock USDM Headlight:

1. Low Beam (Blk) - GROUND
2.
Low Beam (Red/Grn) - POSITIVE CHARGE
High Beam (Red/ Grn) - POSITIVE CHARGE

3. High Beam (Red/Blu) - GROUND TERMINAL (for combo switch)

Up here if he does that he will have to wait 2 weeks to get it, or pay 80 bucks in shipping and duties to get it sooner.

I will go take a look at mine if I have a chance tonight, and maybe even take some pictures.

They don't carry them anymore it seems, i've checked there every week for the last 2-3 months and it always says "out of stock". Also dont want to pay so much/wait long.

Ok, mine might be a tad different, since I only have black on the low beams. Both low beams are black to black, and red/ yellow from the car to red/ yellow on the H4 plug. High beams matched up as well, with red/ blue and red/yellow connected to the same colors on the H1 plug.

Pics for the hell of it.

Nice upgrade Wes. You should have texted me, i've done this mod 100x's. Very easy to wire them up, you just need the h4 connectors, and the h1 connectors as already stated. USDM wiring works, just need to splice the new connectors in.

found that out the hard way! wish I saw your post/texted you before now lol. This is what I ended up with...

passenger H1: red/green went to red/green, wired the black on the JDM to the red/blue on the USDM.
passenger H4: not yet wired, still running the USDM bulb, electrical taped to the rubber JDM headlight grommet like the ricer I am.

driver H1: red/blue to red/blue, black from the JDM to the red/yellow on the USDM.
driver H4: red/yellow to red/yellow, black to black. left a 3rd wire (red/green) unwired/covered with heat shrink...or is it supposed to be grounded? -fudge-

easy enough...and they all work.

now im stuck with the passenger side H4 thanks to the H4 connector's totally different colors. it has red/white and red/blue. and of course the black wire. I was thinking of putting the red/blue with the USDM red/green wire... does it even matter?
