95 Civic DX Clutch Chatter
Details: 95 Civic DX, JDM D15B, P20 Trans
This past weekend I replaced my clutch. Replaced with OEM Clutch and flywheel. I didn't know what was on it before so I went to replace both just to be on the safe side.
Problem is I had clutch chatter before I replaced the clutch. My friend who is a mechanic at ford helped me out. He also drives a 96 Civic EX 5 Speed, so it wasn't like he didn't know anything about civics.
Once we took the old clutch out, parts were broken on the clutch. It wasn't really good looking.
After we replaced the clutch and flywheel, the chatter was still there. And now it sounds louder than before. It's only when I don't press on the clutch pedal. Once I press it in, the noise goes away. Also if i'm stopped and step on the gas, when not in gear and in gear, the chatter sound gets higher with the acceleration of the engine. The clutch feels good, shifts well into all gears. I just want to get rid of the sounds. I really don't want to have to replace the clutch again. Is there anything besides replacing the clutch that I can do?
