Default 1993 Ej1 Budget Build

Hi guys whats up im fairly new to honda tech and didnt really plan on making my own thread but here it goes!!! I got my eg coupe for 600 bucks Not a bad deal, Or at least not at the time... I got it after some shady business between my girlfriends brother and on of the girlfriends friends needless to say i ended up with this car...So at this point i knew the car didnt run had no idea why didnt really care because its a super straight shell and im going to swap it anyways. But just for the fun of it i trouble shooted the car well i turned the key and it didnt turn over pulled the starter and it was good no problems. I later pulled the head to find that the headgasket had been blown for sometime and the guy decided to continue to drive it and seized the motor up tighter than tight. Well at the time i had no job and no money and could not afford to get another engine so there it sat for what seemed like forever until i found a cheap motor i knew i wasnt gonna get a screaming deal but i ended up picking up a d15b7 single cam with 90k miles on it from a auto sedan and it runs super well. I put the swap in and got everything settled now the car runs so im happy now time to worry about other things. I will put pictures up from the time i got the car till now. This is when i first got the car. Now im Not a fan of the whole shocker thing so that sticker came off right away... As far as the DC sticker i haven't taken that one off yet but it will come off before paint.

This is what happens when some dumbass kid tries driving a car for 3 weeks on a bad head gasket not caring that the car is overheating. The plastic ends of the spark plug wires were melted inside the head Poor car!!!!

So from then to now a few things have happened I got a job working at buffalo wild wings not the greatest job but after looking for a year and a half to find work ill take it! So I decided I would start getting into this a little more now I have decided that im going to get the shell looking the way i want it and then to go b20 turbo! I can get a imported jdm engine with 45-50k miles and comes with a 6 mo warranty For 800 witch is a super good deal and i dont have to deal with the flaky *** ppl on craigslist But that will be soon to come. So I bought the mugen rep lip for really cheap like 15 bucks from a friend and got some jdm rep foglights as well. It looks pretty good now! Yesterday i had a friend needing tires really bad and he traded his white webs with like 45% tires for my steelies with 85% tires

it has been alot of ups and downs lately i have taken the cut springs that were on it off and started to put the new coilovers on and when i took the rear left wheel off to my surprise there was no bolt head on the bolt that holds the shock shackle to the lca and the bolt was seized inside the lca and the welded on nut on the back of the shock shackle pretty crazy i have never seen anything like it i picked up 2 new shocks and now tomorrow i have to go get the lca not a bad deal tho i got 2 shocks and will be getting two lca's tomorrow from a friend i owe him 5 bucks and dutch bros lol not bad so all together to fix it i will have paid 10 bucks and coffee
