Default Piaa headlights

Hey, I am thinking about getting some Piaa bulbs for my Si, and when I checked Piaa's site they had a bunch of different types and I don't know which one would be best for me. Does anybody have any information about these, and if they last a long time? I want to get some better bulbs, but don't want to have to replace them really often, so if anybody has these I would appreciate some info and pics if you got 'em
And to all the dorks with nothing better to do than post useless waste of all our time, like "sToCk yO, daT **** iZ rICe yO!" Well, I don't give a f**k, I didn't ask if you think its rice. So all legitamite info much appreciated

fwiw, I paid 80+ dollars for my H4 PIAAs and they burnt out after a month. I have had Nokya's in for like 6 months with no problems.

back before i had HID.. i had the OG PIAA superwhites.. i didnt have that dim purple plasma ****.. just the normal PIAA superwhites..the bulbs had only enough tint to eliminate the yellow effect from a halogen bulb.. the color was good, and no loss of light..

i would reccomend these if you can still find them.. i wouldnt reccomend the "super plasma" bulbs to anyone..they burn out quick and you lose light.. its a waste of your money.. unless you only want headlight bulbs so people can say "wow, his headlights are purple!"

these are the ones i had

3800K color temp.. 51W with 100W output.. dont ever buy those "100W" bulbs..they explode..

or you can go with the Silverstars..they are 4000K color temp.. which is close to HID color.. and a good ammount of lumens as well.

Definitely a to superwhites. They lit up the road noticably more then stock bulbs. They lasted me for approx 2-3 years but I had a friend with the same bulbs and one burned out in a few months. I'd definitely get PIAA bulbs again but didn't want to pay $60+ for a pair of bulbs so it's back to stock bulbs for me.

you could just pay $500 for HID and it will last you nearly 10 years.

Em...HID for ten years?
the vendor told me to come back if the bulb burns out after
2-3 year...it have a service life also..(300-500 hours?)
i guess it can last for ten years if you dont turn them on or just
doesnt do much night driving then.

Thanks for the replies guys
I did some searching around and found 50/50 opinions of Piaa. Many people say that they have a bad light pattern and are scattered bad. Some people say they are great lights, and are bright white (whites, not the plasma).
I want to get some xtreme white, but I will now sacrifice lighting quality for a "cool look".
Does anybody have pics, or peoples favorite bulbs?? I have heard fantastic things about Slyvania silerstars, but they don't make them in H4

then you must have went to one of these new companies that makes these gay 6000K or tinted glass HID bulbs..

philips and sylvania HID bulbs average 3,000 hours.. they are 4100-4300K, no tint.. "no artificial color"

i was just gonna post something of that nature.. haha.. from what i can tell, 9003 and H4 are the same thing.. so id go with silverstars if i wasnt gonna buy real HID.. or do some research, and the bulb with the most lumens is what you want..

i wouldnt go anything above say.....5400K maybe.. sunlight is rated at 5250K.. so the 5400K kits should be pretty white.. but 6000K and up makes the ground look too ridiculously blue/purple..

So I think I am going to go the 9003 silverstar route, I have heard nothing but great things about them, and don't want Piaa's that I have to replace every 6 months.
Anybody have pics of the silverstars??

piaa =

closest to HID... it's bright with good vision... cheap bulbs might have the brightness but vision sucks ... piaa has good vision...

my point is u get what u pay for.

LEO sells good piaa's.. i got my set from him for my jdm headlights H4H
