Default how to install shift **** on 5th gen

how do i take off the stock shift **** on the type SH and how do you seperate the shift **** from the boot?

743lude is right. There are these 2 "tabs" that are exactly opposite each other shift **** that hold the boot up in place. The "tabs" are at 12 and 6 o'clock, so you just need to push down on the boot and kinda jiggle it a bit and it should dislodge itself from the "tabs". Then all you do is unscrew the shift ****.

arite i just got my shift **** on, itz a Type R ****, but now the **** is separate from the boot and theres space, is there any way i can have the **** and the boot together like how the stock is??

There is a shift boot adaptor you an get. All it is is the two tabs on a ring that doesn't slide past where your shifter gets thicker. Keeps the boot up and the **** rests on top of it. Wherever I tightened the know, it would be krooked, so I put a crap load of rubber bands to where the shifter got thicker, and that kept the know from going down too much.
