I am in need of help with a y7 head on z6 block in my civic wagon
Ok everyone I am working on a 1990 Civic wagon dx. The wagon is a vehicle I bought to sell so please keep that in mind since my reason for doing what I am doing is to keep cost down. The car currently has a z6 swap in it but the z6 head is cracked so it has been pulled already and I am cleaning up some oil leaks and things of that nature. Since this car is still dual point and all I would like to use a perfectly good y7 head that I have had for a while but my question is can I do it and the swap be trustworthy. Also what all has to be done? I have been searching on google for over 2 hours and I get alot of mixed feelings and answers so if you have EXPERIENCE with this set up please chime in as to what all I have to do. I know the z6 head has the oil jet and its not on the block and since the y7 head is not vtec it should work properly I'd think. Also can I use the z6 timing belt or do I need the y7. Last but not least since my car is obd0 what distributor can I use. My wagon is still running the original stock ecu. Any help would be great because I also need this car to be running so I have something to drive for just a bit as well. Thanks
