if we are counting original engines...my first one only lasted about 1500 miles

EP, I am curious to see why you grenaded a motor after 1500 miles. I drive pretty hard and my car has never complained much less blew up.
edit - so you mis-shifted twice on different motors and blew them both up?

the original motor i actually took apart to swap some parts...
all motors have performed flawless...
i have been the problem99.9% of the time
the last overrev was painful...
streched some rod bolts....destroyed some retainers and valves and the rest of the usual stuff
