Hey i'm new to Honda Tech.. been looking for an answer for my question but can't find answer... I have a rusted 93 Civic Cx with a b16sirII... i plan to swap the engine from that car to a 93 Civic Si hatch... Will it swap directly or do i need to get different engine mounts? Any thing else i might need to change like axles?? Thanks.. someone at least guide me to the right path.. i figure this is kinda rare to swap a b16sirII from a CX to a SI model.. so please if there's things i need to change.. please let me know

i heard the Si model differed from the cx model though

 

plus the cx has a sub harness, should i jus use the si harness?

 

yea, with different motors, breaks, ect...

but use common sense...they are the same car...so just swap everything over.

Use the Si engine harness, but other than that swap everything (axles, motor mounts, shift linkage, etc over from the CX.

 

K thanks... What a/c bracket do i need if I want to keep a/c? Becuz the civic cx didn't have a/c.

Yep, although I can't remember if you can use the CR-V bracket on a B16A due to it's lower deck height (it definitely works on any other B-series swap)

 

Ok... I was planning on gettin 93 civic si hatch but the seller backed out and now I am getting and 94 civic ex coupe... Is there any difference in the engine bay or would it be a direct swap from civic cx?

 

The EX and SI both had factory optional ABS, but beyond that, they should be the same.
