So last week I picked up an EM1 from a guy locally for only $5500 CDN
The car had just had a bunch of work done to it and has only 177,000km on it and was in pretty decent shape so i decided to jump on it. So I'll start with what the car has on it and i'll post some pictures of it.

What are your opinions and what do you think i should do with this car...

 

In my opinion I wouldn't change anything since it looks perfectly fine but I see you have a red tow hook set? I actually would have went black instead of red. Ever thought of a CF trunk?

 

Everything except the wheels look nice. Get some better looking ones.

 

Ya im actually taking my valve cover off tonight and my friend is going to powder coat the valve cover and the tow hooks for me, so ill post some pictures tomorrow. And ya i was thinking a carbon fiber trunk would look sweet on it with the hood! just have to wait and see what comes my way... and ya im honestly not a big fan of the wheels either... i was thinking of lifting it up and throwing the stock SiR wheels on it for now and throwing those wheels on my Championship White EG.

i think if i maybe had the wheels powdercoated and some new lugs it would bring some life back into them

 

I love it. Only thing I would do is powder coat the wheels white.

 

 

Did I read that right.... you swapped out the EK9 headlights for stock civic ones?

No? How did you manage to gather that from my original post? If you look at the pictures you can clearly see the jdm ek9 ones installed... Then under the extra parts he included he threw in the stock em1 lights... So to answer your question, no you didn't read that right.

And ya my friend wants to powder coat the wheels white and he told me to get some red lugs. I'll just have to find time.

 

Update.

I sold the black racing wheels to a buddy with th tires for $500 and I picked up a mint set of sparco NS-II's. I'll post some pictures later but I just ordered some falken ze 502's. 205 50 15. They should be here in a week or 2 then I'll throw them on.

 

not bad at all...great find and price...i kinda like those wheels but i guess they're right about getting some better ones....

 

Sorry, I re-read it and ya... the first time I thought it said those were the parts you added, not the extra parts he threw in. My bad.

Anyway, nice pickup. Car looks awesome. Really cheap for what's done to it. I actually agree with cd5_2NR and your friend... you shoulda kept the Blacks wheels. They're rare, and cool. Plus powdercoated bright white would have looks amazing on the red SI. You should buy em back lol.
