Ok,
Did a bad thing. I had an accident seven years back. Tried to save a few dollars and bought a black prime unpainted hood for 96 civic ex. Let it sit but now its rusted and want to resurrect this vehicle. Is the hood salvagable or do I have to find a new hood

Do you think it will be worth it. Especially as a novice. I've been struggling to find a decent used hood but growing impatient.

 

The hoods are thin sheet metal and tend to dent pretty easily in my experience. If you have a dent free one with a little surface rust, I'd go for fixing it.

 

I'd just buy a new one honestly, there not to pricey.
