Default D16Z6 Head gasket...

Ok Im sure its an easy question for the limitless knowledge here. Do I use Gasket Sealer on the metal head gasket for my D16Z6?

I'll say no... because I never have... and never had an issue... just make sure your torque is right which I believe is 17 ft lbs, then 49 ft lbs... someone correct me if I'm wrong

I've also heard of people making it a 3 step process and do 39 as step two... I personally don't

Awsome, I didn't think so but the manual doesn't specify. Rather be safe than sorry, right.

Yeah, any sealer that falls down in the cylinders or water jacket could be bad... so I wouldn't risk it.

I say as well. I have never sprayed cooper gasket spray on a head gasket and I have never had a problem. You can if you want it wont hurt anything to do it, just pointless.

Headgaskets do not require any type of sealer.

No, do not use any sealer, most any headgasket your going to buy is probably going to be an mls or a multi-layer steel gasket, if you buy felpro which is offered at most any aftermarket parts store

Get an OEM hg and do not use any sealer. My two cents haha

sorry to hit your post but I need help and have not recieved any on my own post. I have a D15b from Japan also has 2839362 marked on it I NEED a head gasket which one do i need to get? A part number would be golden but if i could get a ymm that would work also.
