flex plate broke
ok so i bought a 92 accord with a locked up motor.the starter motor nor my breaker bar would budge the motor. So i take the motor out of the car and discover the flex plate is broke and rubbing on the back of the engine.so i took it off and and the motor turned great till oh it stops the motor wont go past a certain point.so i took the timing belt off and turned the cam gear no resistance.im gonna take the crank out tommorow but just want to hear some opinions on what could be wrong. never seen a flex plate break.
How/where was it broken? What is the story on the car?
i took the crank and the head off today i bought the car for a couple hundred dollars to flip for a profit.the flex plate broke causing the timing to jump, and therfore hit the valve i could rotate the cam gear because the valve face literally broke off the stem.originally before i took the broke flex plate off the engine would not spin.anywho i have a f22b6 thats good i would like to use.ive searched but couldnt find any specific swap info, any help would be appreciated
