What fuel tanks are interchangeable with a 1996 civic hatch?

Okay, so absolutely no coupe or sedan tanks would work?

 

I believe the Hatch's tanks is a bit smaller and different shape than a coupe or sedan considering it is less spacier. Stick with 96-00 hatch gas tank.

a 99-00 fuel tank won't work, the way the valves are set up are different.

So to sum everything up for the OP, ANY fuel tank from a 96-98 Civic of ANY body type will work.
