Default 1997 Civic HX swap

I have a friend of my dad's that wants me to swap his engine and trans out for something lower mileage (currently has 350,000+ miles). He is a 70 year old guy, so I want nothing higher performance at all, like a B swap. A direct swap for a D16 is what I want. I see that a D16Y5 is what came in the car, but I know there are other D16's like the Y7. Is there any real differences with these motors when it comes to swapping? He also needs a 5 speed trans with it as well. So I am hoping to find a full swap, but some of the typical jdm motor companies are not showing much really. Any help would be great, thanks guys.

Yes the Y7 is non VTEC so the ECU won't be compatible. Best bet is to find a lower mileage y5.

Ah gotcha. So I am kind of limited for a direct replacement then. Thanks man!
