i have an EJ1 and i have a whistle when i put my car in gear and tsart to go..is this from when i took out my airbox and all that for my intake or is it soemthign else. and how can i get rid of it its annoying.

 

Anyone...need to fix it today preferrably.

 

Yup, if you just replaced your OEM Air Box with an Aftermarket Intake that is definatly what's causing the whistling. However I'm sorry to say this, but I don't know if you can elimenate the whistling from the Intake hoses. My friends intake does the exact same thing though, so don't worry about it, as eventually you'll just forget all about it.

 

Yeah, if I'm at or below 3 grand and go WOT right before I shift, it kinda sounds like a blow off valve. I didn't notice it until my friend rode with me and said whoa, it kinda sounds like a blow off valve.

 

Mine did that too. I just put headers and an exhaust on, and now my cars so loud I cant hear it anymore.

 

my b16 does that too. my friend says it sounds like a blow-off valve also. hopefully, there is nothing wrong b/c everyone else is experiencing the same noise.

 

i have the same noise in my 2k1 civic I installed the AEM CAI first and I heard the same noise just like a BOV, then I got my exhaust and the only time i can hear it now is when I turn my car off, nothing to worry about man

 

Its your intake, mine does this also. I can modulate the throttle and make it whistle all the time for COOL sound effects

 

Has anyone ever tried sticking a balloon at the end of the pipe where the hose should run to the valvecover. If it leaks air, hummmmmmmmm.
