B-Series Rebuild Bible??
Does anyone know where I can find a thread for rebuilding a B-series engine? Preferably a B16a2, but I'm sure overall there aren't many differences between Vtec B-series as far as steps are concerned.
I'm looking for more of a complete, step by step process. Interested to know how to replace pistons/rings/rods/bearings in the lower end. Not interested in "this is my build thread. Installed this and that today" while skipping various important steps in between. I've searched a bit, but haven't found anything conclusive...
Otherwise, where would I find this info? Where do average Joes learn to rebuild engines??

...Or am i to assume that people just figure stuff out as they go? It seems theres so much to know/check when it comes to tolerances, etc. and better/easier methods of getting the work done... Can anyone offer any insight??

It is a new publication, i don't think it was it had anything to do with any older books made in the pastIt's made by SA books, they are all i English, ad make a huge lie of builder books for Honda's and dozens of other makes also
I would also try Endyne's website. They don't give you step by step instructions, but they do give you tips on how they put together their engines. Great read.
I guess you didn't understand my question. The original "Bible" was published in Japanese. I was just wondering if this is just a translated version because the Japanese version covered engine, transmission, suspension, wire harness and added tuning basic tuning/pm tips.
Well, as the twenty some years that have passed, the newer book would some up and have the latest and suggestions/opinions of far more input/feedback than the original book.....i would lean much more that way.
I have most (not all) of the old school books starting from about the mid 80's up the current publishings.

Just get the 96-00 Civic Factory Service Manual. It has a MASSIVE section dedicated to the B16A2, including full rebuild, repair, diagnostic, maintenance, and specifications information. I've rebuilt more than one single slammer with the same manual, and I've never had a problem with any of them.
