The battery tests fine, so I've narrowed it down to the wiring or the starter motor itself.
How hard is it to remove the starter? I found the top bolt, but can't se the bottom one (assuming there are 2 bolts). There's also not a lot of room to work...

Any suggestions or ideas?

yea should be 2 bolts on it at least. try tapping the starter with a hammer, not to hard though. then see if it cranks. if it does u need a new starter. sounds like a bad starter anyway. they are easy to install.
is there excessive corrosion on the batery terminals? if so use baking soda with water of Coca cola to get it off. scrub with a wire bbq brush.

The cable that goes from the battery to the starter? Yeah. When I pulled it off, it literally broke in the middle. It's insulated, so I couldn't see how corrided it was. So I just went to Auto-Zone and got a new one - started right up.
Two days later my #3 piston ring cooked. I just can't win...

the clickin u hear is the starter. get a new one and it will work. sometimes u can hit them kinda lightly with a hammer and they will start a few more times... i said lightly...
Really?.. The Starter makes a clicking noise?.. Which part makes it?.. As far as I know and seen, the only thing that clicks in the Starter is NOTHING.. But from what he's saying, that click is from the solenoid... The hold in and pull in coils pull the plunger up and the disc makes contact with the B and M terminals..
And about hitting the Starter with a hammer.. Some people do that but don't understand why.. The reasoning behind that is because the Brushes riding on the Commutator are worn. And by knocking it with a hammer, there's a chance that it might move the Brushes into contact with the Commutator..
