1990 CRX SI main harness disaster
So I picked up this crx with an OBD0 B18A1 as a non runner, it would crank but not start (guy put a new dizzy on it), before i bought it i noticed the main relay smelled crispy. I really didn't think it could be that bad....I was wrong.
So i get it home, replace the main relay and no change in symptoms. I removed the alarm and that's when I noticed that 13 wires on the ecu plugs were cut and butt connected back together, and even though there is power at the fuse block under the hood, there is no power getting to the ecu or main relay.
Right now the dash is out of it and so is the main harness. I bought another main harness, turns out it's from a 90 civic hatch and therefore different.
I'm not sure if I can make one harness out of the two, modify the civic harness to work, or attempt to repair the original harness.
On the original harness, ecu plug, there is a green wire with brown spots, that is cut at about 4 inches but I can't find the other end.
advice, help, detailed instructions on harness repair, needed and greatly appreciated.

UPDATE!!!
I am an idiot.
After checking continuity through all wires on the main harness and finding no problems at all besides the ICU, i reinstalled the harness (after getting rid of the butt connectors and soldering them together instead) and the car still wouldn't start, still cranks, no fuel no spark.
Then on a whim I decided to replace the 4 prong relay near the main relay and the bitch fired right up.
So parts that were bad: main relay, icu, 4 prong relay (not sure what it is).
I pulled my dash and main harness for no other reason than thinking of the worst possible scenario first, without checking the basics. I could have repaired the ecu plugs without pulling anything.
