Default turbo question

i've got a 1994 honda accord with the original engine in it (F22B1 i think) with vtec. its my daily driver and i want to put a turbo in it. i want it to have some speed when i want it to, but other than that i just drive it around normally. so i guess what i'm getting to is what brand turbo should i get, and how many psi should i get that won't tear my engine up? thanks for any answers.

Who makes these ebay turbos I'm hearing so much about? I didn't know that ebay actually made any products.

My suggestion is to stay away from cheap turbo kits. Also, at the end of the build, you need to tune the car on a dyno. So make sure to factor that into your budget as well.

Cheap, Fast, Reliable - you can only choose two of the three. If you want cheap and reliable, it's not going to be fast. If you want cheap and fast, it's not going to be reliable. And if you want reliable and fast, it's not going to be cheap.

Ghostaccord you are right with cheap, reliable, fast. The reason why i said an ebay turbo is he wasnt looking for fast so cheap & reliable works with ebay turbos. We can go rounds & rounds with turbos. Ive seen garrett turbos explode within an hr of use. Ive seen a 50 dollar turbo from ebay last a few yrs. There are different factors that can play into a turbo going bad. Tuner, to much boost, oil line faulty causing turbo to dry up etc.

How many miles does your motor have on it? If it has high miles (200k+/-) I would suggest a mild rebuild before adding a turbo to you car.

Also, it would be wise to set a power goal.
