95 GSR vs. RSX typeS??
i raced my homies Type S and i cant win. we both pretty ok drivers. when we was at the light i took off on i was like a car length in front of him in 1st gear and then in 2nd he start to come up slow. than in 3rd the I-Vtec kicked in hella strong and blew by me. we was both all stock.
is the I-Vtec juss too strong??

sumthin aint right....i have a 98 gsr bone stock.....i raced my homebois type s........when i took him out the hole.....i was gone......u have a better chance of racing a type s than i do..........ur car is obd1
With my mods I am an exact match for a type S
I raced one from 45-95 on the freeway. I started in third since I did not want to waste shift time. I pulled half a car instantly, and that was it. I could not pull away, neither could he.

Maybe your friend is a good driver, and you are a ok driver. Swap cars and see what happens. The rsx also has more hp, more torque, and different gearing

When I had Intake and Header, I raced my friend's 2002 RSX Type-S with Intake.
We raced a BUNCH of times and it was either him winning by a BUMPER or an even tie.
I raced him again a couple days ago and its no match now. He's WAY back there.
You shouldn't be losing that bad to a stock RSX-S

The RSX Type-S has the exact same engine as the RSX type-r in japan. only the internals are stock. i woulnd't be surprised if a GSR lost. the RSX type-r's are actually light than the USDM ITR too.
the type-r in japan (DC5) 220hp@8000rpm, 152lb torque@7000 K20A engine, 11:5CR, the K20A weighs 20lbs less then the b18c5, car weighs 2965lbs, has a forged chromoly flywheel, tight gearing, helical LSD, 17" wheels, 11.8" rotors, 4 piston monoblock brake calipers, i-vtec, front mcpherson struts, and they spent $3 billion devoloping the who NEW DC5 lineup.
I have a 98 gsr w/ AEM cai, DC 4-2-1, thermal cat back, DC sts, and 17's, and i raced a rsx-s and beat him by 2 cars right out of the whole, and I was ahead by two cars the whole race, he also has injen cold air, solo sts, and thermal cat back, other people raced his car against me and I still won.........
You should have no problem (GSR all the way)

I would think that the type s would pop a gsr stock on stock, i wanna know who would win stock the type s or a say 2000 type r? i know the type s has more horsepower, but can the mighty type r take it?
