Will this fit in the hatch? And is the wiring the same for Usdm climate controls?

 

It will fit hatch. Not really sure about the wiring.

didn't you install this in your car? shouldn't you know how to wire it? I'd love to buy it but I dont want to deal with wiring hassles.

The part was installed on the car as a place holder only. I'm going with something different in it's place. So I don't know what it is needed for it to be functional.
You need to do the research but I bet there is some wiring that needs to be upgraded for it to work.
