I wouldn't post stolen merchandise on a public forum man... but then again I wouldn't be in possession of a stolen motor to begin with. There's no reason to EVER scratch off a VIN number, unless it's stolen. But it can still be traced by the serial number below the engine code stamp. What's that number?
its not stolen, ill see if i can get a copy of the bill of sale.. i paid 1700 for it here locally, from a buddy who has 2 type r integras
wiseco manufaturer recommendations was 0.0025, not selling stolen stuff
I just actually called the SD PD and had a block serial number run about a week ago. Well, a detective from auto theft called me back, and wanted all the info of the guy selling it. He informed me it was stolen, and that they don't play around with stolen engines. I'm assuming the guy selling it got arrested.
So, let me get that serial number so I can run it... since you're not worried about it being stolen.
Look at the front of the block right above the oil pan in the middle. There should be a green vin plate. Does the block say B18C5 or B18C? If it says B18C5 then the vin plate should be there and if not it is defiantly stolen because there is no reason take it off unless it's hot. (Stolen or not with no vin plate the police consider it stolen.) If it says B18C then it's a JDM block and it won't have a vin plate and the only way to tell if it's GSR or Type-R is by the numbers that are "scratched off".
Craig - Who currently has a legit block in his car with no VIN plate
I didn't know that BUT if it is "scratched" off then more than likely it's hot because like I stated before there is NO reason to take it off unless you don't want someone tracking it down hence it's hot.
never heard of cops wanting to look under the hood of every car they pull over etc, and checking th vin on every part?
okay so good deal for anyone wanting to rebuild a type r motor for cheap, good start witht the block
believe wha you want but if theirs anyone out there who doesnt think a cop is gonna check all their mods ha tyhat never happens here but if you wanna buy into it its fine, cracking vtec youv made your point thank you!

No, but they still have serial numbers, and they also have an R-DOT stamped on the block. This one has the VIN tag snapped off, and the serial number scratched off.
Frankly I'm surprised a mod hasn't removed this yet, I'm pretty sure moving stolen parts on HT is frowned upon.
