I just recently bought my friends 98 civic ex it has a d16z6 engine which he wrecked nothin happens to the engine or anything and I'm wanting to use that engine in a 92 civic hb will there be any differences on the hoses, sensors, ecu or stuff like that? Help !!

 

Need to know what model of hatch yo have but a z6 originally came out of 92-95 ex/si. Was your buddy running a obd 1 ecu? The only thing you might have to do is run wires for vtec if your car wasn't already equipped.

 

It's the Si and yea it has an obd1

 

How will I know if they already are there??

 

d16 should just go right in....im almost certain all 92's were prewired for vtec in dash harness might just have to pin it on the shock tower plug..i think im right....

 

If its an SI it'll be plug and play since that's tw engine that came in it stock.
