Default Lost's Ej1 Build:The First attempt at a good Time

Little background, normally im not the type to keep cars. I have done the craigslist thing for the last few years buying selling trading ect. Always wanted to build my own car but never had the entire funds and place to do that. Last year i got a good job and can finally afford to get what i need to build a car and build it right.

Got the car with hopes to have a good fun car and off it like the rest. Then something made me keep it. About two weeks after getting the car it was stolen. (Fckn Crack Heads) Thankfully they didnt know what the car really was and only stole the electronics tools medication girls purse and some other small items. It was recovered and about a week later a 2way and kill switches were installed. Then a quick release.

The tear down was next. Here is what im starting from
--sorry about the pic size--

Really ugly and laggy 3in piping soon to change

Got some 2.5 instead of the 3in and a new bumper fitting is a bitch

Got a 4pt cage in just mocked up have to get it cut and welded maybe next weekend

Not a fan of the single din gauge holder so i will have a carbon fiber backing cut to fit in here and stagger some gauges i think it will look much better

The 60-1 divided turbo i will replace the t04e turbo with, to laggy to do now so as soon as the GSR block is built i will change it

Some light 13x7 rims ill use for slicks once i get to that point

Got this in the mail, as well as ARP head studs.

My plan is to get some Eagle Hbeams with Cp pistons 9:1, use a LS crank for a little more of a stroke Stock GSR valve train for now with stock GSR cams. and see what that does for me. Any questions comments are welcome. Never done a build thread there has to be a firstsome day.

Little update:
GSR b18c1 block home 81.5MM bore, with some arp studs, ordering the pistons and rods this week. Im sure it comes down to preference but Cp or Je...need to decide with eagle rods. Also ran the battery cable, have to decide if it will be safe through those seat mounts or if i need to create some sort of "cushion" to protect it

well it went from a simple carpet removal cleaninig to this, a little more ambitious than i intended but it helps. Seems like the rear seat and trunk are soon to come

Time for a good 10h day coffee in hand ready to take some names

Update More Cleaning......i swear someone decided to use this civic as a sand box or something, behind every piece of carpet, plastic, anything there is at least a bucket load of sand and dirt.

Both sides are like this

Finished getting all the sound deadening out now to clean all the dirt and such, prep it and get the inside painted. Just a black will work for me. Then i have to sand down the roll bars and get that painted and installed.
WOO for another nice day

got the majority of the trunk sanded and ready for paint, have to weld up some holes soon and get it all nice, never envision having back seats so no need for all the excess holes. Thats all for today, got my daughter tonight while the woman is at work. Any feed back is great!!!! Aiming for having it at Honda Tech in Seattle but i don't know if i will make it.

I think you should try to find a ashtray for the console. Keep it looking OEM as possible.
I bought my jdm center console ashtray by it self for $20.

i looked on EGAY and didnt see anything id rather have the ashtray then the CF plate but the plate is better than looking into the cig lighter wire and an empty hole. I will look once more though

Maybe ill get lucky like you ,

--In other news speaking of Ef's im trying to source a ef sedan for a DD/FamBam car since i sold my hatch project this weekend. Also went to get a street tune this morning. But my MAP sensor decided to take a **** on the freeway during a 3rd gear run. So i got a GM3Bar to install and try it again next weekend since back to work tomorrow. Besides that and installing the AEM Wideband as well nothing has progressed. This has been a slow weekend. Still trying to source a Virgin LS crank as well hasnt gotten much hits. Few leads, then measuring the cranks and finding they are cut does me no good. Hope to get the ball going soon!!!

Quick update, got the cage mocked up, the main bar mocked up (good thing i didnt weld her in....turns out to be for a eg HATCH not coupe. WTF!!! So i have to deciede weather to order a pre-fab one or to get someone to make me one, or what. Kind of a dissapointment ill try to get some pics up later. I should have suspected somethig when the bars didnt line up at the top of the cage in the first set of pics. So the hunt continues. I was wanting to take the car to HT as is with the cage in but i will just be taking the wagggo

Also in about a week or 2 i will get some ID 1000s and a walbro 400 pump for 475 i think i was quoted if i recall correctly
