its a d series shifter. stock. it wobbles side to side but not back and forth. wondering what parts i need in order to fix it.

at honda the guy didnt know but showed me these $4 plastic shims and the o-rings.

I just wanna know exactly what i need.

 

Shifter bushings

 

^^ ES sells them and boy do they make a difference. My shifter in my 94 civic feels great. One of the best 20 bucks you could spend, IMO.

 

If I were in your position, I'd take this as an opportunity to go ahead and get the ES (Energy Suspension) bushings and a quality dual bend shifter. You can get a B&M shifter and ES bushings for about $75 shipped on eBay too, that is a hell of a deal and should help eliminate any loose play or sloppy shifting.
