Default I'm kinda confused on what turbo i have.

So yeah, like it states, I took off my turbo today to swap out my manifolds,

and I thought it was a garrett..

and in the back it has a turbonetics logo on the back... the T..

so i'm lookin at this thing, and could it be possible that the original owner mixed two turbos together?

like can you do that?
the exhaust side with the downpipe fitting is turbonetics, while the front of the turbo is garrett?

is this good or bad?

Need more details man.

If it's a plain-jane T3/TO4E 57-trim there really isn't any harm. If it's a custom unit with different turbine and compressor wheels it won't be an issue if the right wheels and housings are used together, and the turbo was properly balanced.

Could be that the turbonetics turbine housing cracked and he swapped in a garrett. Or he had a .63 T-netics and went to a .82 garrett or something like that.
