Default My 93 Del Sol turbo build

UPDATED: 5/31/2012
UPDATED: 6/1/2012
UPDATED: 6/3/2012
hello all, i am building my del sol for a turbo and this is what i got so far. im installing it with my stock internals until winter. i have a d15b7(stock del sol) motor with 170k miles and need some advice and help. here is a list of what i have and plan to get but i need your input on anything missing. i plan on running a 14b turbo for reliability and budget build. oh and i have a 2 1/2 cat back to a stock muffler so it should be very stealthy... i will be running stock boost with this turbo.

my parts list

Have:
14b turbo
cast log style manifold with adapter flange
charge-piping/inter-cooler/BOV(stock dsm side mount and piping)
stock 14b downpipe
Chipped p06
DSM 450 injectors
Resistor box
boost/oil pressure gauge
oil filter sandwich plate
fuel pressure regulator

Need:
oil/coolant lines
fuel pump

if there's anything im missing let me know

thanks for all the help and i plan on building a build thread when im ready

Hf manifold, bur an adapter plate to bolt the 14b to. Cut the flange off of the o2 dump and creat your own downpipe. The hf manifold has a o2 port on it. DSM blue top 450cc injectors will work, (grt a resistor box, you can find them in late 90's accords. Buy a oil feed kit from stealthmodeperformance.com
For your intercooler setup. Check out ebay, for about $170 you can get the BOV, intercooler, and pre bent piping for your car all on one box. I did that. The 14b is internal gated so no need for a external wastegate. Also depending on what your gonna use to tune you will need a chipped p28 ecu. I have one for sale (150 shipped obo).
I might have missed a few things. Keep the thread going with updates. Good luck!

ok so the hf manifold from ebay is my best choice? i would like to get one off a car at the yard but i don't know what car to get it off. as for the flange on the 02 housing, my boss is a dsm tech/tuner so hes got like 15 dsms so i plan to just use the downpipe and cut it and make it bolt to my exhaust, will this work? i will also get 450 dsm injectors from him i found charge piping and an intercooler i want for 100 dollars, resistor box i can get for cheap(didn't know late 90s accords had them, where are they located?) don't plan for externally wastegating, i like internal anyways, i have a socketing kit on its way for my p06 ecu so i wont be needing one. anything else im missing?

I believe the hf manifold is from late 80 to 91 crx. The downpipe from a dsm wont work. Easiest way would be cut the flange of the o2 dumb. Bolt that flange to the turbo, moc up a custom downpipe and weld away. I wish i had photos of my firls build. Going exactly like this one. And tbe resistor box is near the driver side firewall. What your hp goal? Any thoughts on a clutch?

If your going built block and not really doing much till winter, get some good quality parts, like a good manifold. Full 3in exhaust. Good clutch. What bov you planning on using? And put it at like 15 pounds and go have fun with it. Did you upgrade your fuel pump to a walbro 255?

i will be boosting my stock setup till winter or so, im using a fuel pump out of a jeep cherokee because its an upgraded pump from stock, i do not plan on doing a big exhaust as im using a stock muffler, and a 2 1/2 inch cat back, i will be upgrading the manifold when i build the block and i just wanted to see what i could make with a welder to test my skill. im probably going with a stage 2 or 3 street disc and using stock dsm BOV. im not trying to get as much power out of it as possible i just want a nice quiet and fast car to have some fun with, im sure ill want more power later on but until then this is my project

its been a while since i updated, has anyone ran this manifold with an adapter plate for a 14b? will it have appropriate clearance for the turbo to hit anything?
