Default Which O2 is the primary on 1st gen b16?

Took my car out for its first 40 miles yesterday. The car was running really good and was so fun in 3rd and 4th gear with the J1 tranny. Im definately happy with it (for now)

Towards the end of my drive I got code 1 which is primary o2 sensor. Does anyone know which one is the primary? Im thinking closest to block (reads first) but not sure.

Thanks for any help

if you are looking at your engine it is the one on the left. the secondary is on the right. the primary goes to c16 on ecu and secondary to c8. hope this helps

Cool thanks. Primary being the white plug. Turns out it was never connected all the way. Snapped it in and bye bye code.

Hopefully no more for a while. Time to start driving it to work and back.

yeah i pulled Hazard fuse for 30 seconds, then started her up with no codes. Let it idle 5 or so, then rolled. Is this proper?
