Weird Problem....anyone had problems with strut bars (Specifically Spoon)?
Hmm, weird problem. I have a Spoon strut bar that I was just putting on...and I tried to put the actual bar on and it seemed as if the actual bar wasn't long enough? One side would bolt in fine, but the other had about 1/2 of a hole to screw, if that makes any sense? The Spoon endlinks on the struts are placed so that "Spoon Sports" is sideways if that matters. I'm confused and feel stupid...? The endlinks are placed like this: _l ---------l_ Did I do something wrong?
I remember hearing some mention of people jacking up their car or something so that there would be stress on it. Maybe you can get it to fit that way.

) and then I'll post some pictures...since of course...NO ONE has seen the Spoon bar before. Thanks you guys...
When I put on my spoon strut bars i had the same problem that you had but if you do what I did it might go on easier. Take off the bolts that hold the struts on and put the mounts for the strut bar on them but dont tighten them up yet, then hook the bar up to the mounts but again dont tighten anything down yet. start to tighten down the mounts a little bit on each side then tighten down the bar itself. go slowly and just do a litttle bit at a time. it worked on my car hopefully it will work on yours. good luck
I had a similar problem when i was fitting my OMP rear bar, i had to jack the rear of the car up, and get someone to pull on the wheel, so as to get the bar over the strut studs, it went on fine then, but i get creaking now and then on hard cornering that i know i never had before!

Wow, thanks you guys for the comments...I just got home and had Olive Garden's "Never ending pasta dish"...so I'm tired...(why does food make you tired btw?). But I'll definitely get the bar on later today via everyone's suggestions. Thanks you guys...
Yay! I got the bar on...too lazy to take pictures, but I'll get some soon. Thanks everyone for your help though...I didn't have to jack up the car...just lightly loosened everything and gradually tightened everthing...and cleaned up the shiny over priced aluminum bar. =P
Thanks!
Thanks!
Your supposed to have the car in the air so that the suspension sags. That way the bar will grab the shock towers.
Dum Dum...I'll just pretend I didn't read that. Actually...it does make sense....time to jack up my car....

BTW tell me how the bar feels, I'm looking into getting some stiff *** bars as well for the front and rear.
