Engine Noise after Header Install
My friend has a 00 Civic si and after he installed his headers his engine started making a weird sound. Any ideas? Search didnt turn up anything, maybe i didnt search hard enough

First check to see if the bolts are torqued correctly, then retorque them after he drives for a while. Also sometimes the increased airflow goes through a poor seal at the header/cat converter where the donut thing is, which happended to my car too. I just bought a new donut gasket and the noise went away.

and also what make of header did he install?it the bolts on the header flange are comming loose from the block then use some loc-tite and that should stop that. one or two drops is all you need.
or maybe your civic really is haunted. if you start to hear a knocking sound then they want to be let out of the hood.
