A simple question for all u jdm bandwagoners out there, how are altezzas gay? Granted, some people who put them on are all rice, but just because they are on a vechice doesnt mean its rice, or that the person know nothing about cars. How are altezzas any different then the headlight equalant- clear corners or projectors? Yet i hear no whining about them. I dont know y i feel as if i am coming out of closet when i say this- I have altezzas and no i am not rice, and yes i bear a vast knowledge regarding cars. So jdm bandwagoners do your worse to me, just i like the damn things, and you only bash them cause everyone else does, and you have no intelligent thing to say. So give me a logic reason as to why altezzas are so "gay"

 

Not bashing but my opinion: they're fugly and a waste of money that could have been used for other more important things.

I don't like them becuase they look dumb. OEM lights look so much better. The only car that looks good with altezzas is the Altezza/IS 300. Clear corners and Projectors are not gay because IMO they look better than OEM. I don't like the amber color. Also some JDM cars come with clear corners and no amber in front. The only reason why all USDM cars have amber from corners somewhere is because it's a law in the US to have a amber refletor in the front, so technically a lot of cars out there have illegal front lights. I just don't like altezzas on cars, they are gay

 

I mean, like a gag reflex. You know, for instance, if you try to eat a piece of rotten meat and you can't get it down. That's what Altezza's remind me of. Like licking a butt-hole. Only gays can do that. So, Altezza owners get tagged with it...

why would you trade perfectly good OEM Quality lights for some knock-offs that leak and look like ****, fade, fall apart? i dont like them because the quality sucks. if they came OEM on hondas, i wouldnt have a problem because they are made to QUALITY STANDARDS...

What an interesting topic. Anyways, Altezza's (Euro's or whatever you wanna call them) are gay. The first time I saw them on Accords, they were pretty cool. Until you see more, and more, and more, and more. Not only that, 9 out of 10 that you see have the red reflector lens thing popping off so when the lights are on, you see red with a white outline all over the place. And people spend like $180 on THAT? Come on now. I have way better things to do with nearly $200 than to buy a brake light that I'm gonna use for 1 week and have it fall apart later. I cn go on and on and on but it won't make a difference. Now you don't call that rice?

 

i only paid 140, and mine have yet to have any signs of breaking (about 2 months), but how is htat a bigger waste of money than projector headlights, which are even more expensive and do nothing for performance?

Although some of you may be aware of the recent and growing recall of Altezza taillights by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration [NHTSA], others may not.

One problem appears to be the result of various aftermarket manufacturers inability to produce Altezza type taillights in sufficient quantities to satisfy the market. Production was shifted to China and quality went down the pooper. Many leak like sieves.

The bigger problem is the fact that many Altezza lights sold in the US fail to comply with Standard 108 a.k.a. FMVSS No. 108 and are illegal for on-road usage.

In simpler terms, those phat Altezza taillights you have on your car [or are thinking about buying] may be nothing but shoddy, leaking, illegal pieces of junk. Better check it out.

there is no reason there gay. its not like you buy them and you get the free "I'm Gay" sticker. Its a matter of opinion. Calling it "gay" is just a way ppl say something is dumb, ugly, stupid.
And on Honda-TECH, note the tech part. People here believe that those lights are a waste and ugly. were not a looks forum. sure we all appriciate good looking Hondas. BUt here, most peoples opinion are AGAINST Gaytezzas.
So my suggestion is, not to complain here, you wont win.
