What kind of Cold air Intake do u have ?
I'm planning to buy one soon but just not sure which one to get ... Anyways , let's post some pics of ur intake whether you bought them or custom it . 88-91 EF only please....
Yea I heard about making ur own pipe and bought the filter but I'm just not sure where to start and what parts do I need to complete the work .....
if ur in it for the nice noise tone add a intake filter one ur rubber tube and tak ur stock air box off but do not add a metal pipe thinking ur car gets faster cuz it wont on a stock build with a aftermarket intak only introduces hot air into combustion which is bad for performance and gas millage. if u want a better chance at some gas by a little shot at it i mean and a little performance gain theres no lie that the stock air box with a k&n are beautiful pair together its got a tone to it aswell jus not as loud like ppl lik with a aftermarket one. i got 2 forsale if ur interested tho one for a ef chassie and 00 aem civic si
cold air intakes =
All you need is a 3" short ram pipe with filter of choice.
You dont need to spend an extra $100 so its says some stupid *** brand like aem or injen on it.

If you still have the stock airbox, it's just as good to get the K&N drop in. If you have a swap, I would open it up by drilling some extra holes. It has a few from the factory.
I have had some experience on the K&N filter... I had them installed on my Benz and mine Lexus ..they killed my maf sensor on both car . Ok back to the EF , why not removing the stock airbox and buy the new intake filter then install to to the stock pipe but concern is the diameter of the stock pipe might be small for the filter .. That's y I asked earlier do I need the adapter to make it fit right in . Also it seems like the stock pipe is kinda short if I install the filter I think I might hit the battery?

Part of my Integra's old WAI and a piece of plastic pipe from my leaf blower all wrapped in foil tape connected to my super rad cut out headlight.
Looks retarded but I picked up ~0.15 consistently in the 1/8th over my CAI. had all the stuff i needed in the garage so it didnt cost me anything.
Honestly though I'd just ebay one. I got a full CAI with filter for $28 shipped for my integra.
Probably the oil they use on the filter. No MAF on your honda, so it's still a good idea. You will need an adapter and probably some extra length to use your stock tube with a cone filter. You can get a nice CAI with all the pieces for about $30 on ebay.
I picked this up at Autozone for $30. Found the filter online for $9. Increased my MPG, throttle response, and it sounds nice when VTEC activates.
