Default Lowering springs compared to coilovers?

Hi guys im new to the accord community and i was wondering which would be a better ride as well as long lasting. I heard lowering springs are just as good and have a better ride but then again ive heard some others say that coilovers is better. I dont really want to spend $500+ for coilovers to be honest... Oh yea and i drive a 1995 accord ex coupe

I chose struts + lowering springs (Ground Controls and Tockico Illuminas) because if the struts ever go bad you can simply replace them versus having to have a coilover rebuilt
