Yeah, I wouldnt pay him 10k for it, 7k maybe.

But I bet you could clean the ***** out of that car and get it looking very nice. The Interior can be bought back to life very easily.

And the wonders that a good paint job can do.

Did I miss the badge number?

got me. would do a compression test on that engine before i considered anything. kind of hard to tell if it's just dirty or if it's really rough.

i have the oddest suspicion that it may have more than 108k. the jdm motor, the rough look. cluster swap is really easy to do

That car isn't THAT bad, there's worse for more ridiculous prices out there. I'm sure after time he'll lower the price to a more reasonable negotiation starting point.

Its not horrible. I wonder why the engine was changed? The paint looks pretty rough. At least that bumper is going to need to be redone. Interior just appears neglected. The drivers seat is worn pretty good.

million dollar question right there

if it was a theft recovery title it would make sense as that would be the most acceptable engine to put in it. on a clean title car with 108k stated miles it's just odd

Thats a possability.. Im not saying he is fishy or anything.. just wondering why it was changed.. Just like I wonder why my R has a P61 (92-93 GSR) valvecover on it that was obviously spray painted red... People do strange things to cars. The R's tend to have more strange things done to them.

Yea once someone changes the motor,it makes one wonder about why they would, they might have a good reason for it,but I don't like to buy cars with motors being changed,I just don't feel that there trust worthy, and for 10k. I would feel better, like if the motor was stock, like I don't mind mods like CAI,,,supercharger,,or turbo, but than agan. the person really has to know what there doing...that means u have to trust there word.and that can cost money if something fails.

I don't get it. What's so "terrible" about it? I mean....it's not worth quite what he's asking, but you guys made it sound like a wreck. I bet the engine was replaced because he either sucked up water thru that CAI...or he ran it low on oil. I have to check the hell out of my oil.

i'm with you on this one. not sure why there is so much fear/hate.

why the engine was changed is a good question but when it comes right down to it, you should be compression testing any ITR before you buy it. if it passes a compression and vacuum check, doesn't grind and doesn't have any frame damage it's probably not THAT bad of a car

I'm pretty sure this is the same ITR I went to go look at a year or two ago. Pictures look the same.
If it is the same one, it's a piece of crap. It was in a big accident because the passenger quarter panel was replaced and there was rust all over. Waste of my time.
Could be wrong though...
