good replacemen rear calipers for prelude? better than stock but not extensive $$$
So what would be an upgrade to you? Same question....
What do you want them to do different from the stock calipers?

slightly better braking im not looking to spend a ton of money but a little upgrade form stock is what i was shooting for since ill have to spend money on replacing the calipers either way i might as well upgrade them a little bit.
i was planning on doing the rotors pads and claipers all at once. are the centric calipers any good? they are only like 35 bucks each or so.

I don't really know, never heard of them. Probably not the best quality for $35...I think you can find an OEM Honda rebuild kit for that price.
I run dba slotted rotors with hawk pads. I spent around 750 for the whole set up. I love them stock size rotor but better stopping power
yea thats whats up. i was actually guna get some slotted(not drilled) rotors as well. i was curious about the hawk pads. they worth the price?
I personnally use Hawk since 7 years, they are easier to get than EBC and better.
You had a lots of compounds HPS, HP+, Blue 9012, DT-10, DTC60, DTC70....etc

what model do you have? cause S, Si, and VTEC all have a little bit of different sizes you could always upgrade to the VTEC calipers and they'd be a bit bigger and better. And im sure you can find someone selling them for ceap.
i actually have the vtec model 4th gen. prelude. i didnt know that each model of the rpeludes came with different brake calipers. ive kinda read up on it and it sounds like the si preludes rotors wont work on the vtec models. sounds lie they take different rotors.

I guess you guys are missing the point, that changing the calipers is pointless. Upgrade the pads and tires and if you want better stopping power.
If you suddenly make the rear calipers bigger, then you change the front/rear brake bias and the car will not stop any better than before, and may become more unstable under braking. You would have to carefully select master cylinder size and prop valve ratios to actually improve your braking (IF there was any options for different rear calipers, which I don't believe there is).

Yeah i guess i should read a little more, my baddd. But i agree with you, just upgrade the pads...as far as my knowledge goes the rear pads rarely do that much of the braking anyway i know the ratio is less than 50/50. So there's really no reason to upgrade the rear calipers. Just my 0.02

Never had a problem with it, haha
