WATER LEAK Underneath Engine (93 EX)
I have a water leak that appears to be coming from somewhere in the lower rear part of the engine area. After filling the radiator with water, I could see it was leaking somewhere in the middle right above the "Y" on the exhaust. Its kind of hard to see exactly where it is coming from without a floor jack, but it doesn't look like it is coming from the drain plug. It's not gushing out but leaking out in a somewhat slow but steady stream.
Any ideas?

Well first you say it's leaking from the lower rear of the engine, and then it's leaking coolant from the front of the motor near the Y of cylinders 2 & 3?...
Check your oil for coolant

there is a water pipe on the back of the black as well as possible heater hose leaks that could release water in that area. need a jack/lift and a light and some patience.
Yeah check your hoses going into the back of the block first (Just because it drips from the middle doesnt mean its coming from the middle though). Make sure you try and wipe off any crud to get a better idea where it originating from. If it's coming from the rear of the engine, is it dripping around/onto the oil pan? If so, check by the timing cover where the water pump is. Could be the weep hole on the water pump.
Thanks for the replies. I actually found the leak a few hours after posting this thread. It turns out it was a small heater hose, the one that goes from the thermostat housing to a port at the manifold right below the EGR valve. The hole was at the bottom of the hose so I couldn't see where the leak was coming from looking down from the top of the engine. I finally got a floor jack and and got underneath with a flashlight and saw exactly where it was coming from. Cheap fix nonetheless.
I had to replace the gasket to the EGR and clean it out anyway, so I killed 2 birds with 1 stone, plus it was easier to get the hose with the EGR out of the way anyway...
