Well most jumper harness's have 2 wires that come out of it that you jump together. and that will show the code through the cel light

Maybe this will help
-----CEL # List-----
0 (defined by CEL remaining on steady both without and with the service connector jumped) - indicates ECU power or ground problem when engine will not start; begin by checking the three main relay fuses and the G101 ground attached to the thermostat housing.

I have the rywire jumper harness, which requires you to jump together the orange wire and the blue wire on the jumper harness.

Hope this helps.

Just a thought, IACV?

Or youre using an ECU that isnt suited to the engine. For example, my friend has a b18b1 with a p06 ecu. I drove it to the shop for him (he didnt know how to drive manual, not that i was too great at it either. Made for a fun ride) to get it basemapped, and we couldnt pop over around 5.5k I believe. That's what the rev-limiter was at. Got a brand new basemap and it would hit the real rev-limit (7k) easy.

Sounds like it's in open-loop.

I think solid CEL means there are no codes present. Does the light come on when you're driving?

if u connect the yel service check to the ground and the light is solid light means u hav no codes! u will see it blink right away if it retrieves any solid blinks for a split second u count by 10 everyone and rapidly quick blinks u count by 1's

solid light when you jump the Service Check Signal (SCS, ecu pin D4 on obd1 ecu plugs). grounding out this wire will display your check engine light. if it stays on, no codes are present.

you can do a test to mak sure its working fine. disconnect your map sensor and then jump the SCS wire, you should then display a flashing check engine light. if you dont then you know there is something wrong with the ecu

THIS. every harness has a different color. find the pinout and ground the SCS wire.
