11 Inch Prelude brake upgrade CLARIFICATION
Ok, so i know that this upgrade question has been asked WAY TOO many times, and i have researched it and even asked questions to no avail...so anyone please clarify for me once and for all.
....ALL this write up on how to do this upgrade, and each one confuses me..maybe im just SSSSLLLLOOOOWWWW...but i'm having a hard time trying understand. Heres my deal...I have a 92 Prelude S..with an H22A, not that it matters i guess, and i'm trying to upgrade my rotors to 11'. I have both 23t caliper brackets off of a 99 Acura CL along with the calipers themselves. My HUBS are stock type S Prelude ones and i'm ABSOLUTELY NOT SURE WHAT HUBS TO USE and WHICH ROTORS will need RE-DRILLING, or even if the 07 MINI COOPER S or REGULAR rotors will fit with no issues...make it SIMPLE for me please ppl..theres alot of OPINIONS out there on how it should be done, but someone break it down..which plenty of you have attempted, and so i say IM SSSLLLOOOWWWW!!! thanks to all of you again for the inputs.

just buy Si VTEC calipers and rotors...i think they are like 10 3/4" and then you wont have to change anything on the spindle other than that. or do a big brake kit

^This, there's no reason to go any bigger than the Si VTEC setup unless it's a dedicated track car used for road racing.
I've read that the 96 VTEC rotors are 11''..and thats the upgrade i'm trying to go for, but there are lingering questions about the SPINDLE itself and which to use, also about the rotor, that it needed to be RE-drilled.

There's absolutely NO modification if you want to do the Si VTEC rotors other than bending your dust shield back if you don't feel like buying a new one.
Ma'an THANK YOU very much...i was actually searching other post or threads that i might have missed on the HUB to use, and finally just understood most of the upgrade threads out there. NONE of them are for PRELUDES, they are all for CIVICS and REX upgrades, and so i couldnt get a def answer, but thank you again, i kinda realized that the PRELUDE hubs should work fine with the bigger SI VTEC rotors on there, just didnt click.

Also if you're having trouble finding the larger VTEC front calipers you can use 5g, 5g front brakes are identical to 4g Si VTEC just that the rotors are 5 lug.
I should have a full set of 5g calipers boxed up somewhere, 150k or so with no issues when removed a few years ago. Pm me if interested and ill look for them. Was saving them for a 5 lug swap that never happened.
*Read ^that before reading this* now if you wanted to do the whole 5th gen swap you would have to do modification cause you'd be going to a 5 lug pattern on the newer Preludes.
Hope that helps and doesn't confuse you too much haha.
I will PM if you still got them boxed up.
92-96 ludes are 4x114.3 lug pattern. But what they're saying is you could still use the 5th Gen CALIPERS and just get the Si VTEC rotors and nothing will have to be modified.

I did this last year, I used 96 VTEC rotors and calipers not Si, I believe Si meant H23. I got the calipers and brackets off of RockAuto cheap and bought slotted rotors [Centric?? brand] off some website or another. I also upgraded to the Hawk HPS pads at the same time. Not sure if it was the HPS or another pad, I know it was Hawk though.
somebody may be able to correct me on this but i was under the impression that the calipers are the same, but the caliper brackets are different.
I actually just finished doing the change from 92 S rotors to 96 VTEC up front. The calipers are different, 96 are bigger and fit around the 11.3'' rotors fine..i think its 11.3.
Also fellows, THANKS AGAIN for the assists and the info on this upgrade..as i said before i wasnt clear on what to change out at first, but asking questions alwasys helps. The rotors are awesome and look good under 16'' wheels along with the calipers. I will post pics later for thosethat would like to see or even attempt the change. THANK YOU ALL AGAIN.
