2002 Accord EX V6 Coupe Transmission
So I am sure everyone is quite aware of the problems with the transmissions on 6th generation Accord models.
I currently have one as the title suggests that currently has 197,000 km's on it (Canadian car), which is about 122,000 miles. The transmission actually functions just as I would expect it to, with no problems to report.
My question is, did I get lucky and snag a good one (when I bought it Aug 2011), or should I expect failure? I know many individuals transmissions were failing before 100,000, so I am just wondering what to expect... Thanks for reading.

Hey thanks, that was what I was thinking...
Plus, I checked the transmission fluid today and it looks clear red, as healthy as new fluid looks, so I hope no nastiness has accumulated in the pan.
I know the previous owner had the fluid flushed and changed along with the timing belt approximately 40,000km ago, and I was planning on flushing it again at 200,000km which is very soon.
What is the recommended interval for that service anyhow?

I have the same car and mine didn't go until 145k mi. and the previous owner had it rebuilt. I have 215,500 mi on it now and I'm not having any problems. I heard that the '01 and '02 trans were a little better than the '98-'00.
Not till 145K? Well I am just hoping to not have any problems at any time haha.
Anyhow yes I believe the 98-00 ones had the worst problems, and I thought that 03-04 was in there as well?
