91 speaker size & Sports mode ? My first Honda!!
I am trying to figure out the stock speaker size for my 1991 Accord EX 4 door. I installed the stereo just fine, just to realize it didnt' have any speakers in it... everyone says something different it seems like...they are definetely not 6x9's in the rear panel...don't know about doors... also the sports mode on the automatic shifter....does that work like an overdrive? when should it be engaged...not sure how it works or what situation it would be used in thanks... I would post a picture of the back panel from the trunk but I can't figure out how to post pictures....I'm new to this forum..my first Honda....it's an EX 4 door Black loaded all power...everything works on it too...and it runs great....218K...paid $2300....i'm very happy with it.....just a few minor questions....
Another thread says 6.5" all around

Don't know about your sports mode question.

sport mode, If I remember it firms up shifts and allows the engine to rev out alittle further. So it should really be used in town and I think it takes away over drive but I could be alittle wrong.. All my hondas have been 5 speed..
lol they told me 6.5 all around too but i managed to put 6x9 on the rear of my 90 ex. they fit perfect no mods. there pioneers with crossovers
5.25" stock speakers in the front, but you can fit 6.5" as the LX and DX. Sport mode allow the tranny to shift later, above 3000rpm. It is useless, kill more gas, leave it off. If you going up hill then it's good for that, but nothing else is useful.
