Default Thermostat Housing

I have an 87 Prelude 2.0 Si.

Does anyone know what that 2 port vacuum thing is that's screwed into the thermostat housing? and it's function? is it necessary? it sits below the bleed bolt.

Default Re: Thermostat Housing

i havent messed with a older lude with a 2.0 but that is probably a ported vacuum switch. It opens up once the engine gets up to temp. Ususally they control egr. or some other emmissions junk.
