Due to a few requests I will have a build thread in here for you guys too, even though I sadly will not be buy a civic to track.
The car is a 1998 M3 (10/97 build date) that I purchased from the original owner 2 years ago with 84,000 miles. It came with a plethora of maintenance records and really needed nothing. I caught the mod/track bug thanks to Dan and Ian from DER Motorsports and they've helped me build the car to what it is today. I plan on using this car as my DD and track **** until I work up some talent and then I will get a dedicated track car. I will post up some videos from the track as time goes on, so feel free to comment and make me a better driver. Track pictures will be coming this summer as I gear up to hit the track... Enjoy!

The day I bought it:

After a few weeks I added the clears and black kidneys:

Then I got the Koseis fitted with a wider square setup so I can rotate them, and the e36 does best on the track with a square setup:

The UUC Exhaust came on too so I could hear this beast:

M Power:

With my buddy's e36 M3 track car fitted with a euro motor:

With my buddy's 997:

Basement full of extra parts (I get lots of interest in my bikes so let me know if you want pics... I work at a bike shop btw so let me know if you need anything too):

Outside of VAC Motorsports:

I was waiting for that response... I've only done a few autox at this point and have never taken my camera. I have a few events lined up for this summer and maybe even some drifting. Feel free to have a mod move the thread, but I guarantee you I will have some track pics and vids soon.
I dont want to sound like a jerk but where is the build? A set of wheels, steering wheel, and clear corners is appearance/cosmetic...
I love the car though

I have pics of car on the lift for cooling system, suspension, and tons of maintenance, but they look like they were taken from the 60s... thanks though.

It really is more of an appearance project at this point. I bought such a car recently,....mind you the original owner has never even opened the motor, which takes it to another level. Many here may regard the car I bought as an appearance Project, but it was certainly a build...

Dude, that was a monster build project what do you mean?
He stripped the whole car down to nothing and replaced everything.
I agree completely...and at the time they did this there were far fewer options and support. I just thought on this forum with the folks shaving heads, hybrid block/head, ....etc, they might regard this as a cosmetic build. I can't wait to see the s2000 getting a k24 run.
I think the brothers that did this project deserve huge credit. Sometimes I feel a little guilty that I am converting it to a pure track car....but then again, I have no love for performance garage queens.
