Default what do you guys think about this paint? I've searched

Ok, so i picked up a quart to match my lips and new bumper to my car...turns out it doesnt match at all, so i'm considering finding a cheap kit that is 2 STAGE not single stage to paint my car. In searching I found this Starfire dark metallic purple, gallon of base, w/ reducers, clear and everything.

I've searched google, HT, everywhere and all I can find are reviews on their single stage acrylic enamel, but this is a 2 stage urethane enamel.

What do you guys think? for $173 It's not that bad just to try it out. I'm not looking for anything perfect but just something to get her lookin decent so I can take care of some other mods I have in mind and get a better paint job later on.

Similar quality to kirker paint, maybe a little worse. Would go with kirker if given the choice, they have better customer service.

Send them an email, they will match OEM colors if you ask I believe.

Is the price comparable?
If I'm going to buy a gallon kit such as this, i'm going to do a metallic purple like i've been wanting to do for a while and lose the malachite green pearl that I have on their now

Because a just a quart of paint at an auto paint store ranges anywhere from $60-150+. That's one quart. So you figure 4 quarts to do the whole car, i'm looking at $240-400+ just for base. That doesn't include reducer, clear, primer, hardeners, anything. Just paint. As i stated in the first post I'm not looking for a crazy show car result, just something to get me by. A $170-220 kit is alot mroe reasonable

Not always. You can often get Limco, omni, centari or even the NAPA crossfire paints for MUCH cheaper than that.
