I have a couple questions about the urethane, does it look real?? Who has this lip? I did a search, but nothing answer the questions i had--. After you paint this does it look real?? I mean does it blend well?? Any pics of you with the Comptech lip?

 

from the ones I've seen it blends well. But it's mostly a function of the paint shop you have do the work.

Urethane is much more durable than ABS plastic.

I had the OEM Type R Lip on my car before, which is made of Urethane and I had no problems with appearance or strength. Urethane is a lot stronger than fiberglass or plastic, which tends to crack or chip very easily. Plus, paint adheres to Urethane more strongly as well.

Comptech's Lip closely resembles the OEM Type R Lip from Honda. The only difference is that the Comptech lip has to be formed when you receive it. This usually takes heat and having to set it out in the sun for a couple of hours to make it pliable. Then, you'll be able to mold it to fit your ride. Another thing - the Comptech lip is supported mainly by industrial strength double-sided tape and a couple screws on the sides. This was the main reason for turning me away from Comptech other than the price alone. The OEM Type R Lip is held in place with all bolts, more than 10 as an estimate. I'm not very trusting of the double-sided tape, but a few people on HT have gone with the Comptech Lip with no trouble.
