Did you check to make sure the clutch pedal didn't break?

I did a motor swap . I put a jack under the arm to adjust it all the way down. It got super stiff . I replaced the through out bearing too. This clutch was weird putting on the fly wheel. It butted all the way up but there was still a gap between the flanges and the fly wheel where it bolts down I tightens it down till they were flush , could that be it? It's a universal clutch too. D15 and 16. It's a sohc Zc with a d15 tranny

go over this with me again, cause to be honest im having a hard time understanding.
but there def shouldnt be any play in your clutch setup, can you move the clutch arm by putting a jack underneath it and jacking up.
