Default New to Honda tuning

Hello all. I am new to how Hondas are tuned and what is what. I come from the Subaru world where opensource and the COBB Accessport are the common tuning platforms or way of tuning. I am trying to find out about the different ECU's and chips and all of this other stuff i am hearing just looking through the forum. If anyone could point me to a good source of information i would appreciate it.

Search will help. Common engine management options for B-series are Neptune, Hondata, and Crome. You'd use Kpro for a K-series, probably. Or of course there are standalone systems as well.

If you have a B-series honestly just get Neptune/Demon.

Thank you guys for the replies. I recently purchased an eg hatch with a b20 swap and I will be doing a slow build for reliability and hopefully a little more power. Just need to learn the car. I have been modding subarus for years and this is my first Honda project. Very excited.

welcome

i think you'll find tuning an obd1 honda such as yours is very easy, albeit very hands on and almost primitive when compared to using things like the obd data-port tuners for a subaru, but for the tuning power they are incredibly cheap.

you should enjoy the honda stuff, electronics are simple, the engine and emissions system has minimal sensors and actuators compared to other makes and the motors tend to tolerate a large margin of error or substantial increase in power without issue.
