I have a 2000 civic ex and I've noticed that at night with my lights and stuff on my cluster lights dimly flicker and sometimes my srs light will come on for a couple seconds and i can see ot flicker then it goes off. I just want to know what I have to look for meaning open wires under the dash or check grounds but what kind of grounds? I bought the car with a viper alarm system didn't get the remote or anything and its wired up with electric tape so I'm wondering if maybe that could be a problem and I would like to uninstall it but have no clue so if anyone has had experience with their cluster and srs light flickering can you please help. I forgot to mention i got my battery and alternator tested and they both came out good...

 

Anyone?? I just want to get this fixed asap.

 

Did you check the tension on the belts? Do they need replacing?

 

Belts are all good and tension is good also ugh

 

Fixed the problem it was cause my sub wire and fog lights were both on the positive end on fuse box so it was drawing to much power so i hooked them both up to.battery and no more problem.

 

Er. What? I have never hooked up an amp straight to a fusebox.

 

Yeah lol when I first got a system my friends dad said it would be better to put the power wire with the positive part of the fuse box and I realized today that it probably is taking to much power and so I put it on the battery like it should have been in the beginning and it fixed it.

 

i have a sub and mine does that same thing and my positive is on the batery so what should i do b/c my srs light comes on when im on the highway and my dash lights flicker? belts alt and all are good? not thread jack

 

Higher amp/New alternator.
